An Ode to Zula - Part 1

I set my sails on the wingless wings of poesy. A small ship set its anchor on an island for lovers and for a brief moment, you were mine.

It felt just like the day I graduated. The twisting of emotions inside me left me with conceiving short breaths. Each one with An overwhelmingly fierce happiness spinning out of control and partially tempered by disbelief....

Mine.

There was a song I heard in my head.
It was a song for Zula.
A sweet little song with no melody. A catchy tune with no beat. A mouthy song with no lyrics.
It played endlessly in my sleep; where there are no illusions or complexities. Just the simplicity of a you and me.

Or maybe an appreciation for an us.
Even if, temporary.
It danced around my soul. Piece by piece taking over each ventricle and cabinet of my heart.

Why?

Little babbles and baby sparks. And unrevealed mystery behind your eye lashes. Your eyes are a tabernacle where stars are birthed. An enchanted dreamworld.
There is no single thing that resembles you on earth.
You are the embodiment of everything I could ever love.

So I fall asleep to see you again and listen to this Song to hear your lips moving. A voice so beautiful. Soft. Sweet.

This is dreamland for me lads. Singing a Song. Shocked beyond belief and Unspeakably Grateful.

If I awake and never see you again know that you have left my world with a stylish royal elegance. And a wonderful touch of encapsulating ratchet.

When all the universes combined among unnumbered worlds gratefully receive you as the deity you are. Your celestial image stirs my heart in sleep and inspires me with love from afar.

In a crisp falsetto. I sing for Zula.
